Former Resident Dies In The City
Richard H. Glassford, for a number of years a resident of San Rafael, passed away last Saturday at his home on Hill street in San Francisco. He had been a patient sufferer for many years from the illness which caused his death.
For more that thirty years the deceased had been employed by the San Francisco Examiner, holding many positions. He was a close friend of William R. Hearst.
He is survived by a sorrowing widow, Mrs. Christenia Glassford, and a sister, Mrs. Kate Boyd. He was also a relative of the Hearfields of San Rafael.
The funeral was held Monday in San Francisco, and the interment was private.
Mrs. and Mrs. Glassford sold their residence on Petaluma avenue several months ago and removed to another home owned by them in San Francisco.
