Jerry Charles Recor
Captain, Sausalito Fire Department Age 53, died on Sunday, April 14, 2002, at his home in Sutter Creek. Captain Recor was born on November 3, 1948, at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Oakland. He was raised in Amador County and graduated from Amador High School in 1966. He served for more than 33 years in the Sausalito Fire Department and attained the rank of Captain. He is survived by his son, Jerry Vearen Recor of Point Reyes; daughters, Alexandra Elizabeth Recor and Victoria Christine Recor, both of Alameda; mother, Lucile Recor of Sutter Creek and fiancée, Peggy Randall of Berkeley. He was a farm boy at heart, loved hunting, fishing, pickling peppers and saving lives. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 18, at noon, at Daneri Mortuary in Jackson. Interment will be at the Sutter Creek City Cemetery in Sutter Creek. Arrangements are being handled by Daneri Mortuary in Jackson, California. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sausalito Fire Fighters Association, 333 Johnson Street, Sausalito, CA 94965. DANERI MORTUARY 209-223-0793
