SUSAN BEATRICE FAIOLA
Former San Rafael resident

She was born on the Fourth of July and died New Year’s Day, and for the 82 years in between Sue B. Faiola was faithful to her family, her friends and her faith.

A funeral service is slated 9 a.m. Monday for Mrs. Faiola at Mt. Tamalpais Mortuary in its chapel, 2500 Fifth Ave. in San Rafael. Her name also will be mentioned in a memorial Mass that day at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church.

Mrs. Faiola had been a San Rafael resident for 25 years being an active member of the church and a life-long member of the Catholic Daughters. She moved to Stougton (sic), Wis., in August last year.

The Washington, Pa. Native was born in 1915 as Susan Beatrice Pugliese. She graduated from Arnold High School in Vandergrift, Pa., in 1933 and worked for a time becoming the president of the Pennsylvania Textiles Union.

She was married for 51 years to Marion Faiola. That union produced a son.

Mrs. Faiola died among family in Stoughton, Wis. Thursday. Her husband and son preceded her in death.

She is survived by a grandson, Gennaro Faiola Jr. and his wife Maureen, of Stoughton, Wis., and three sisters, Edna Brock of Sun City, Calif., Mary Kapelewski of New Kensington, Pa., and Dorothy Wagner of Denver.

The family request (sic) memorials in her honor be made to the American Red Cross or Catholic Charities.
