EVELYN M. PRESCOTT

A Mass of Christian Burial for Evelyn M. Prescott, a San Rafael resident for almost 80 years will be said at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Raphael’s Church in San Rafael.

Mrs. Prescott died Saturday in Paradise Pines, Butte County. She was 90.

She was a native of Grass Valley, moved to San Rafael in 1900 and for more than 50 years sang in the St. Raphael’s choir. She and her husband, the late Royal M. Prescott, raised seven daughters. She moved to Paradise Pines two years ago.

She is survived by five of her daughters, Claire Rake of San Rafael, Nona Tilley of Los Angeles, Dorothy Rath of Napa and Annamarie Sherman and Margery Prescott, both of Paradise Pines; a brother, George Sirard of Sacramento; a sister, Camille Triguerio; 18 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

The rosary will be recited at 8 tonight in the Mission San Rafael Arcangel. Friends may call until 5 at Keaton’s Mortuary, San Rafael.

Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, San Rafael.
