Child Meets Death On Third Rail
Little Daria Perolini, the 10-year-old daughter of Guiseppi Perolini, met a sad death last Thursday evening when she came in contact with the third rail on the Northwestern Pacific tracks near the Municipal Baths while walking with her aunt, Fedele Lafranchi, to meet her father, who was working as a section hand about one hundred yards from where the accident occurred.
The child was taken to the Cottage Hospital and Dr. J. H. Kuser was immediately summoned, but the little one was shocked so severely that death came within a few moments. It was not learned whether the child stumbled and fell across the rail, or received the force of the current before falling.
