MRS. SCHALLOCK

Private funeral services for Mrs. Alice F. Schallock, long-time resident of Mill Valley, will be held Thursday at Russell and Gooch Mortuary, Mill Valley. Interment will also be private.

Mrs. Schallock, mother of Arthur Schallock of San Rafael, former New York Yankee pitcher, died Sunday in a Nevada City hospital following a stroke. She was 77.

Mrs. Schallock had lived in Mill Valley for 43 years, at 30 Sycamore Avenue. She was a native of San Francisco.

Surviving are two sons, Arthur and Melvin Schallock of Mill Valley; two daughters, Mrs. Alyce Ryan of Nevada City and Mrs. Julia Bulasky of Beverly Hills; 10 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
