GOMEZ, Emma Ricco -- Born in San Francisco's North Beach District 4/27/14, died 9/22/01 in San Rafael, spending the last 4 years of her hard fought life at an Alzheimer/Dementia Facility close to her daughter and son-in-law Lorraine & 'Pete' Peters. She retired from Hiram Walker Liquor Bottling Plant in Millbrae, but rather than distilled spirits, uplifting spirits was her real stock in trade. Married for over 60 yrs. to John 'Tony' Gomez, a former active member of the Warehousemen's Union who died in 1997. A funny, wisecracking extrovert with a zest for living, Emma spread laughter & good cheer wherever she went and was adored by so many people. Her pride & joy was always her family including two grandsons, Gregory & Jason Gomez; & especially her son, Raymond Gomez of San Diego, 'My Son, the Lawyer'. Funeral arrangements by Neptune Society. Donations in her name should go to: Hospice of Marin, 150 Nellen Ave., Corte Madera, CA 94925.
