Julian M. Edwards Rite Held
Private service was held today for Julian M. Edwards, a retired telephone company executive and 30-year resident of Marin county.
Edwards, 69, was found dead at his Kentfield home Sunday by his wife, Marjorie. According to his wife, her husband, a member of the Christian Science Church, may have suffered a stroke a few months ago.
Edwards was a former assistant vice president of t he Pacific Telephone Company in San Francisco, where he worked for 43 years, and belonged to the Telephone Pioneers of America.
He had been a commodore of the Marin Power Squadron, a powerboat club.
A native of Arizona, he lived in California for 55 years, in Berkeley as well as Marin County. He and his wife lived at 2 Black Log Road in Kentfield.
Survivors include his wife, two sons, John M. Edwards of Los Gatos and Donald S. Peake of Colorado Springs, a daughter, Jacqueline Tippette of Orlando, Fla. and seven grandchildren.
Burial will be private. The family has requested that memorial gifts be made to the Marin Power Squadron Educational Fund, 280 Summit Avenue, San Rafael 94901.

A Death Notice in the same paper mentions that services were held at the Memorial Chapel and Gardens of Russell and Gooch, Mill Valley.
