JEFFERSON D. CONOVER
Retired master sergeant

Private services were held for retired Senior Master Sgt. Jefferson D. Conover at Valley Memorial Park in Novato.

Sgt. Conover died May 6 in Novato. He was 67.

He was born in Flat Rock, Ill.

Sgt. Conover was awarded the Bronze Star for service with the Air Force during t he Vietnam War.

He was a 32nd degree Master Mason in the Klamath Lodge F.&A.M #77, and a past master of t he Hunsrick Lodge at Hahn Air Force Base, Germany.

He was a stock car race fan.

He is survived by his wife, Glee Conover of Novato; a son, Jeff Conover of Petaluma; two daughters, Dearra Christian of Redmond, Wash. and Candi Conover of San Quentin Village; two sisters, Glynn Miller of Lawrenceville, Ill. and Twyla Metz of Vincennes, Ind.; and three grandchildren.

A Death Notice in the May 10th issue of the paper mentions that he was the brother of the late Shirley Watson, and grandfather of Cori, Cristi and Carli.
