Fred C. Egan
A Mass of Christian Burial for Fred C. Egan of San Rafael, who died Thursday in a local hospital after a long illness, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday in the chapel at Nazareth House, Terra Linda.
Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma. The Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at Nazareth House, where Egan had resided for several years.
Egan, 79, was a native of San Francisco, where he lived for most of his life. He moved to Marin about five years ago.
He trained horses for the San Francisco Police Department for 30 years before his retirement.
He had no known immediate survivors.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds that he was the son of the late Dr. William F. and Margaret Egan, the brother of five deceased brothers and three deceased sisters, and uncle of four nieces and nephews. Arrangements were by Keaton’s Mortuary, San Rafael; Nazareth House address was 245 Nova Albion Way, San Rafael.
