LeVIEN, Ruth M. -- Passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2001 in Novato, CA. She was 89. Loving mother of Michael LeVien of Castro Valley and Ruth Powning (George) of Novato; adored grandmother of Angie Adkins of Pittsburg, CA and the late Greg LeVien; cherished great-grandmother of Andy, Alex, Ashlee and Jacob. A native of Brooklyn, NY, she lived all over the world, settling in San Francisco where she lived for 40 years. Ruth loved to attend the San Francisco Opera and was also an usher. A sports fan, she especially enjoyed tennis, golf, baseball & football but her most treasured enjoyment was her family and friends. At her request, there will be no services. Memorial Contributions preferred to the Say Hey Foundation, Inc., P.O. Box 2410, Menlo Park, CA 94026 or the Sept. 11th Disaster Relief Charity of your choice. Keaton's Redwood Chapel (415)-897-1151
