Onetime Candidate Louie P. Aquilino

Louie Patrick Aquilino, 61, San Anselmo accountant and onetime city council candidate, was found dead inside a family camper vehicle at 1:55 p.m. yesterday, according to coroner’s deputy William Thomas.

His wife, Patricia, told investigators Aquilino has been ill and despondent. A hose had been connected from the camper’s exhaust inside the vehicle. Aquilino was pronounced dead at Marin General Hospital.

Aquilino, a member of the San Anselmo Board of Review in the early 1940s, unsuccessfully ran for the council in 1946.

In addition to his wife, Aquilino is survived by two sons, Terry and Garry.

Funeral is pending at the Chapel of the Hills, San Anselmo.
