BERNICE AYERS

Funeral for Bernice M. Ayers, mother of John K. Ayers of Tiburon, was held today in San Rafael. Mrs. Ayers, a onetime Marin County resident, died in Portola Valley Tuesday. She was 89.

She was a native of Minnesota. Her husband, Augustine H. Ayers, preceded her in death.

Survivors, in addition to her son in Tiburon, include four other sons, James M. Ayers of Atlanta, Ga., Thomas M. Ayers of Allendale, Va., Ben A. Ayers of Fullerton and Augustine H. Ayers of Sacramento, and a daughter, Kathleen Becker of Fullerton.

Burial was in Mount Tamalpais Cemetery.

The family prefers memorial contributions to a favorite charity.
