Donald Merle Dapprich,
A Resident of Larkspur
Don Dapprich passed away on February 7, 2002 at 82 years of age. Don was born in Detroit, Michigan and had lived in Marin County since 1949. He was educated at the Edison Institute of Technology in Dearborn, Michigan and served in the U.S. Army at Fort Scott in the Presidio of San Francisco during World War II. He met his wife Jeanne (McCandless) while serving in the Army.
Don was an employee of the Ford Motor Company and knew Henry Ford and other members of the Ford family. He also worked for the engineering firms of John Oglesby & Associates, Frost, Meglio and Associates in Marin County, and the Schultz Co. in Greenbrae. Don was an avid golfer and sailor, and will be remembered for his easy-going nature and great sense of humor. He had many friends and business associates.
His wife Jeanne preceded him in death in 1973. He is survived by his son, Bruce C. Dapprich of Larkspur, California as well as by his daughter, Lisa T. Dapprich and her husband Vince Kehoe, granddaughters, Meghan Dapprich Kehoe and Katherine Jeanne Kehoe, all of Mariposa, California.
He was a thoughtful and loving father and grandfather, and he will be missed terribly by his family.
A private Celebration of His Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers a contribution to your favorite charity.
