GUSTAF BURGREN

Private funeral for Gustaf (Gus) K. Burgren, retired lawyer of San Rafael, was held today in Corte Madera.

He died Saturday in a local hospital after a brief illness. He was 82.

Burgren was born in San Francisco and lived there until moving to San Rafael 15 years ago. He practiced law in San Francisco for 45 years before retiring 12 years ago.

He was a member of the Bar Association of San Francisco, California State Bar, Richmond Lodge 375, Free and Accepted Masons, and Islam Temple of the Shrine. He was a veteran of World War I.

He is survived by his wife, Aida Burgren of the home at 144 Lovell Avenue.

Inurnment was at Cypress Lawn Cemetery, Colma.
