Gertrude Bates Of San Rafael Dies
Private funeral services for Gertrude Bates, a resident of San Rafael for nearly 50 years, were held yesterday at Cypress Lawn Memorial park’s Noble Chapel in Colma.
Miss Bates, who was 85, died in a local hospital Saturday after along illness.
She formerly resided at 20 Mountain View avenue, San Rafael, with her brother, Walter D. Bates. He is a partner in Walter Bates and Associates, construction supplies firm in San Francisco.
Miss Bates was a native of New York.
Interment was in Cypress Lawn Memorial Park, directed by Harry M. Williams Mortuary.
