J. W. Dutton, Born 82 Years Ago In Tomales, Buried There Monday
John Warren Dutton, 82, born in Tomales, was taken there Monday for burial in the Presbyterian Cemetery. He died last Friday in Napa after a long illness.
Son of Warren Dutton, a ‘49er, Dutton grew up in Marin, formed a partnership with John Keys and did a flourishing business in the early days. Later he moved to Solano County, acquiring large holdings and used Duttons Landing as a shipping point.
He leaves a widow and two sons, Warren and John Dutton, and two daughters, Mrs. Marth Fernandes and Miss Elizabeth Dutton, and a sister, Mrs. Caroline Randolph.
