Resident Of Marin Since 1893 Passes

Mrs. Louise deVeuve, a resident of Marin for more than 60 years and a member of many church and civic groups, died yesterday.

Mrs. deVeuve, who first lived in Larkspur and later moved to San Rafael, had been hospitalized for some 10 days before her death.

A native of San Francisco, she came to Marin in the 1890s and made a home for her family in Larkspur where her husband, the late Henry Potter deVeuve, was an insurance agent. While in Larkspur, Mrs. deVeuve was a member of the board of directors of the Larkspur Public Library.

She moved to San Rafael 12 years ago and made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Alice deVeuve Cagwin at 40 Rafael drive.

She is also survived by a sister, Dr. Sophie B. Hewitt; a brother, Christian Kobicke; a niece, Ella Bach; three grandchildren, Harry deVeuve Finch, Thomas Cagwin and Alive Cagwin Shevlin; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are to be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Noble Chapel, Cypress Lawn Memorial Park, Colma under the direction of the Harry M. Williams Mortury, San Rafael.
