Machinery Firm Executive Dies At Belvedere
Funeral services for Ralph B. Utt, Belvedere machinery firm executive who died of a heart attack at his home Sunday, will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at Halstead and Co., San Francisco.
Utt, 51, had been associated with Western Machinery Co. and Western-Knapp Engineering Co. for almost 20 years. He was vice president and chief executive engineer of both at the time of his death.
A native of Mansfield, Wash., he attended the Montana School of Mines and University of Idaho.
He was a member of many San Francisco professional and trade groups and of the Commonwealth Club.
He is survived by his wife, Alberta, at the family home, 528 San Rafael avenue, Belvedere; a daughter, Mrs. Alberta Van Nason of Whittier; two brothers, Dean of Sunnyvale and Elred of Hollywood, and two sisters, Mrs. Velma Daniels of Redlands and Mrs. Mildred Brisbane of Great Falls, Mont.
