Man Chokes To Death On Meat

Franklin T. Hunt, 36, of 115 San Francisco boulevard, San Anselmo, had a snack just before dinner last night. Shortly afterward, he was seized with an attack of choking and died.

County Coroner Harold Keaton said today an autopsy showed that Hunt choked to death on a piece of meat lodged in his throat.

Hunt, a Pacific Gas and Electric Co. workman, is survived by his wife, Marie, and six children, Roger, Michele, Paula, Yvonne, Lawrence and Thomas.

A native of Illinois, Hunt had been a resident of Marin for four years. He was a veteran of World War II.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at Keaton’s, San Rafael. Interment will be in Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno.

A Death Notice on the same page adds that he was the son of Mrs. Ella Stickler of Illinois, and brother of Mrs. Mary Webb of St. Louis, Mo., Mrs. Cora Auton of Ohio and Mrs. Callie Bartlow, Mrs. Sarah Stalorites, Mrs. Bill Ward and Harold and John Hunt, all of Illinois.
