Body Identified

The body taken from the bay off Sausalito last Wednesday night was identified Thursday night by George LeRoy, of San Francisco, as that of his wife, Elizabeth Eskew LeRoy. According to LeRoy’s story at the inquest held by Coroner J. Ray Keaton the LeRoys have been married about one year. He returned about a week ago from a camp in the mountains, and found his wife in a highly nervous state. Every thing went well until Wednesday morning about 11 o’clock when the two went down town in company of friends. LeRoy left his wife standing with the woman member of the party and stepped into a hotel. He was gone but a short time and when he returned found his wife gone. The next he heard of her was through the newspaper.

When he arrived in San Rafael LeRoy fainted as he left the train to go to the morgue. He states Mrs. LeRoy is about 52 years old and gives no reason for the suicide, except that his wife had been in a highly nervous state for several weeks. Their family life was pleasant.
