CLIFFORD DAMON ROUTLEY
Clifford Damon Routley of Mill Valley, a longtime Marin businessman, died Wednesday at Children’s Hospital in San Francisco after a long battle with cancer.
He was 66.
Mr. Routley was a native of East Grand Forks, Minn., and came to California as a shipyard worker in 1941.
He joined the Navy soon afterwards and served on the aircraft carrier Lexington until the end of World War II.
Mr. Routley formed his own company, Q & I Plastics Co., in 1969. He served as president of the business, now located in Northgate Industrial Park, until he passed that position to his son at the end of last year.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Joy Routley of Tamalpais Valley; a son, Richard Damon Routley of Petaluma; two daughters, Karen Elizabeth Scott of Tamalpais Valley and Susan Jane Dalk of Petaluma; three sisters, Gladys Syse of Minneapolis, Minn., Viola Burkett of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Lorraine Larson of Fairfield; and eight grandchildren.
There will be no public service.
Arrangements were being handled by Russell & Gooch Funeral Chapel in Mill Valley.
The family prefers memorial gifts to Children’s Hospital, Department of Medicine Teaching Fund, in care of Dr. Allan Pont, 3905 Sacramento St., Suite 101, San Francisco 94118.
