B. L. Perramont Passes Away at His Home Here
After an illness of a week, Benoit Louis Perramount, 87, resident of San Rafael for the past twenty years, died Saturday evening at his home at 1552 Fourth street. He was stricken with paralysis a week before and grew gradually weaker until the end came.
A native of France, Parramont came to California when 16 years old. As a contractor he built many buildings in San Francisco, among them the French Hospital on Geary street. When he retired twenty years ago, he came to San Rafael, and had made his home here since.
He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Marie Mauvezin, of Los Angeles, a brother, Louis Perramont, of France, and a granddaughter, Miss Celeste Bercut, of San Francisco. Pierre Bercut, well known San Francisco business man, was his son-in-law. Mrs. Bercut passed away a year ago.
Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at the French church in San Francisco where a requiem high mass was celebrated for the repose of his soul. Interment took place at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Miss Bercut, a student at the San Francisco College for Women, is to receive a greater share of his estate which is valued at approximately $100,000. She is well known in Marin county, having spent much time with her grandfather here. Mr. and Mrs. John C. Farley, the latter a cousin of his late wife, are named administrators of his will.
