Hans H. Geissler Dies At 48
Hans H. Geissler, 48, who changed his occupation from school teacher to building maintenance man when he came here seven years ago from Australia, died yesterday in a local hospital after a long illness.
Geissler was born in Hamberg, Germany, but lived in Australia and taught school there for five years before coming to Marin. Here, he was a superintendant for Gunther Hagel Co., building maintenace firm.
He resided at 6 F Street, San Rafael, where he is survived by his wife, Maurine, and a son and daughter, Mark and Debra. He also leaves a stepbrother, A. Johannesen of Leopoldville, the Congo.
Requiem Mass will be offered at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow at St. Raphael’s Church in San Rafael, with the cortege forming at 9 a.m. at Chapel of the Hills, San Anselmo. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, San Rafael.
