Marks, a salesman for an East Cost notions firm, died Sunday at his home after a long illness. He was 60.
He was born in San Francisco and attended the University of the Pacific in Stockton before going to work as a young man for B. Blumenthal & Co. of New York.
He moved to San Rafael about 25 years ago. He was an avid golfer and a member of the Marin Country Club in Novato.
He is survived by his wife, Betty, of the home address; two daughters, Linda Cherry of San Rafael and Susan Granger of Bellevue, Wash.; his mother, Helen Marks of San Francisco; a brother, Eugene Marks of Sunnyvale, and five grandchildren.
The family prefers donations to the American Cancer Society or to a favorite charity.
