Harry Brown, 83, Of Hub City, Dies In Hospital
Harry Brown, San Anselmo resident for the past 50 years and builder of numerous houses and other buildings in Marin, died Thursday at a local hospital after a long illness. He was born in England 83 years ago.
A retired building contractor, Brown made his home at 81 Elm avenue with his wife Katie, who survives him. In July, the couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary.
Brown left England when he was 16 and went to Montreal, Canada, then came to San Francisco. When he and his wife were married, they came to Marin.
Other survivors, besides his wife, are three children, Charles H. and Edwin E. Brown and Mrs. Alice Monte, all of San Anselmo, and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday from the Chapel of the Hills in San Anselmo, followed by burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds that his grandchildren were Charles E. and Sandra Sue Monte, David C., Patricia Alice and Harry E. Brown, Mary Catherine and Edwin E. Brown Jr.
