NORMAN C. GRAY
Funeral for Norman C. Gray, a San Rafael resident and native of Petaluma, will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Keaton’s Chapel of Marin in Novato.
Gray, 55, became ill unexpectedly and died while at work Wednesday in Novato.
He grew up on a Petaluma ranch and went into the National Guard and the Army during World War II.
After moving to Marin in 1946, he worked first for the San Rafael street department and then became a housepainter, an occupation he followed for 26 years.
Surviving are two brothers, Clarence Gray of Sacramento and Richard Gray of Anderson in Shasta County; and three sisters, Evelyn Filliponi of Los Angeles, Dorothy Gesek of Rohnert Park and Virginia Melton of Petaluma.
Inurnment will be private.
