Frank Happersberger Stricken With Fatal Heart Attack At Masonic Lodge
Frank Happersberger, veteran Pacific Gas and Electric Company employee and a resident of San Anselmo for the past 41 years, died suddenly of a heart attack last night while attending a meeting of the Fairfax Masonic lodge in the Odd Fellows Hall on Ross street in San Anselmo. He was 54 years old.
A “trouble shooter” with the P.G.&.E. in the coastal areas of Marin county, he was well known in this community for his active Masonic work and his interest in county civic affairs. As a Mason he was a member of the Fairfax lodge, the Marin chapter, the San Rafael Sciots, the Mt. Olivet Knights Templars, the Order of the Amaranth, the Marin Mutual Benefit Association, the Keystone Association and the Pacific Service Employees Association.
He was the brother of the late Harry Happersberger, who died about a month ago in Fairfax, and his son Stanley died in service during the war. He lived at 58 Madrone avenue in San Anselmo.
He is survived by the widow, Maude E. Happersberger, a daughter, Mrs. Eva Evans of San Anselmo, and a granddaughter, Nancy Ellen Evans.
Funeral services will be held at the Masonic Temple in San Rafael at 1 p.m. Monday, with officers of Fairfax lodge, F. & A. M. officiating. Burial will follow at the Golden Gate National Cemetery in San Bruno.
