Cockroft Funeral Rites Tomorrow
Funeral services for Mrs. Mabel Garthwaite Cockroft, widow of Louis F. Cockroft, pioneer shipping executive of San Francisco and Oakland, will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow in the Albert Brown Funeral Parlor, Oakland. Mrs. Cockroft is the grandmother of Mrs. Robert M. Streibeigh of Sausalito.
The 92-year-old native San Franciscan died yesterday in her Oakland home after a short illness. She was the oldest member of the pioneer Ebell Society of Oakland and the First Baptist Church of Oakland and was prominent in the early activities of t he YWCA movement.
