HELEN C. MELLISH

Memorial service for Helen C. Mellish, former editor of Presbyterian church publications, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Faith United Presbyterian Church, Rohnert Park.

Mrs. Mellish, a Petaluma resident since 1975, died Saturday at her home after a lengthy illness. She was 66.

A native of Columbus, Ind., Mrs. Mellish had worked there as district cashier for Prudential Insurance Co. After she married in 1934 to the Rev. Paul S. Mellish, they traveled throughout the country as he served various Presbyterian churches. Her husband retired from the ministry in 1975.

Mrs. Mellish also had worked for the general council of the United Presbyterian Church in New York City, where she edited various church publications. She retired in 1970.

Mrs. Mellish was a member of the Faith United Presbyterian Church.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Joel Mellish of Tiburon and Jon Mellish of Tiburon; a daughter, Paulette Mellish of Petaluma; and three grandchildren.
