AUSTIN KING

Funeral for Austin Jay King, retired Air Force lieutenant colonel who formerly lived in Marin, will be at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow at Oak Hill Mortuary, San Jose. Burial will be in Oak Hill Memorial Park.

King, 45, died Saturday at his home in Cupertino following a long illness.

A native of Utah, King served in the Air Force for 26 years, retiring in 1966.

He was stationed at Hamilton Air Fore Base for about three years prior to the Korean War and he and his wife, Ann King, whom he married in the base chapel, lived in Greenbrae.

During the Korean War he won the Distinguished Flying Cross and two air medals.

He had lived in Santa Clara County for the past two years, and was a logistics analyst.

Survivors are his wife; his father, Orton L. King of Sacramento; three sisters, Arline Sommers and Joyce Ryan of Sacramento and Margie Shaum of Utah, and three brothers, Max T. King, Orton Lyle King and Ronald L. King, all of Sacramento.
