JOHN DeROSA
Mass of Christian Burial for John H. DaRosa, former resident of Novato and San Rafael, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Raphael’s Church.
DaRosa, 81, died Thursday in the Veteran’s Hospital in Yountville after a short illness.
He was born in San Geronimo and grew up in Novato. He came to San Rafael in 1920 and lived until moving to Yountville in 1972. He worked for the Borden Milk Co. for many years.
DeRosa was a veteran of World War I, past commander of the Wilkins Post No. 37 of the American Legion, a member of the IDESSI and a Boy Scout commissioner.
Memorial services by Wilkins Post 37 will be held at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow. Rosary service will be at 8 p.m. tomorrow at Williams and Heffernan Mortuary in San Rafael. Burial will be in Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds that he was the husband of the late Franceline A. DeRosa, and father of John A. DeRosa of Clear Lake Highlands and Albert G. DeRosa of Novato. He was survived by seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
