GILBERT NEALAN
Gilbert T. (Bert) Nealan, 73, of 1112 Sir Francis Drake Boulevard, San Anselmo, died early today at a local hospital after a long illness.
A native of San Francisco, he moved to San Anselmo eight years ago after retiring as a liquor salesman for the Phanos Distributing Co., San Francisco, where he worked for 20 years. Before that, he held a similar job with Tomkin Distributing Co., San Francisco, for about 15 years, and he once worked for the Gump’s department store chain.
Nealan was an infantry sergeant during World War I, and was wounded in France.
He was vice-commander of American Legion Post 363, San Francisco, and a member of Parkside Post. He also was a member of Castro Parlor, Native Sons of the Golden West.
Surviving are his wife, Lenore Nealan of San Anselmo and a brother, Ray Nealan of San Francisco.
Funeral arrangements are pending with Halsted and Co., San Francisco.
