Funeral of Mrs. Freeman

The funeral of the late Mrs. Mary Freeman, widow of the late William D. Freeman, took place on Friday morning from the family home near Fallon and thence to Tomales, where services were conducted at the Presbyterian church. The funeral was the largest seen at Tomales for many years and the church could not contain all who sought to pay a final tribute to the beloved dead. Relatives came from all over the state. After the ceremony the remains were interred near husband and daughters in the Tomales church yard.

Many Petalumans were present at the services and the funeral procession was of unusual length. – Petaluma Argus
