Frederick W. Geiger Dies At His Home
After an illness lasting some six weeks Frederick W. Geiger, an old and respected resident of this city, passed away at his home here last Monday night. Deceased was a bricklayer and stone mason and first came to this city some fourteen years ago. His honesty and industry won him a large number of friends here who now extend to the bereaved family their deepest sympathy.
Besides his wife, Mr. Geiger left a number of step children who are well known and prominent here, Edward Demetz, Mrs. E. W. Smith and Mrs. Ludwig Johansen.
The body was taken from the family home at 105 Bay View street yesterday to the Odd Fellows crematory in San Francisco where the funeral services were held. The funeral was private, but this did not prevent a few intimate friends from attending.
