Mrs. Adelaide Codo Dies Unexpectedly
While she was entertaining a group of friends at her home in the El Ray Apartments, Mrs. Adelaide Codo was stricken with a stroke of apoplexy. She was rushed to the Cottage Hospital, but died, never having regained consciousness. Her death was unexpected, though she had been ill for some time.
Her funeral services will be held from St. Raphael’s Church tomorrow morning where a requiem mass for the repose of her soul will be held. She will be buried at the Holy Cross Mausoleum in San Mateo.
She is survived by her daughter, Miss Lucile Codo, a University of California co-ed, who rushed to her bedside when she heard the news of her mother’s illness. Also surviving her is a sister, Jeanne Bache, of San Francisco. She was a native of France, aged 40 years.
Three years ago her husband, Lucien Codo, owner of the Bay View Hotel at Third and Irwin streets, passed away. Mrs. Codo sold it after he succumbed.
She was a pioneer of Marin County, having lived here for 20 years.
