Warner Is Hung At San Quentin
Walter Warner, age 20 years, was hung at San Quentin last Friday for the murder of a woman in San Bernardino county last year. Warner’s case went to the supreme court but the judgment was affirmed. Up to the very last he protested his innocence. He was attended on the scaffold by Father Walsh of this city, who by previous arrangement took charge of Warner’s body after the execution and he had it interred in Mount Olivet cemetery. Warner was the youngest man ever executed at San Quentin.
