San Rafael – A San Rafael man collapsed and died on the floor of the Public Defender’s Office at the Marin County Civic Center Wednesday.
Alfred Bruno, 72, was at the reception desk when he collapsed at about 2:15 p.m.
Bystanders administered CPR until paramedics arrived. Bruno was pronounced dead on arrival at the emergency room of Kaiser Permanente Hospital in San Rafael.
An investigator with the county coroner’s office said the death was apparently due to a heart attack.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Keaton’s Mortuary in San Rafael.
