BLANCHE THIER CARPENTER
A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Eversole Mortuary in Ukiah for Blanche Thier Carpenter of Willits, a former longtime Marin resident.
Mrs. Carpenter died Tuesday, July 7, 1987, at the North Brook Manor convalescent hospital in Willits following a long illness. She was 85.
Mrs. Carpenter was born in Colorado and moved to San Rafael in the late 1920s. She lived there until the mid 1940s when she moved to Novato. She continued moving north to Santa Rosa and ultimately Ukiah and Willits.
In Marin, she was a member of the Gold Star and Rebekah lodges and the Neighbors of Woodcraft.
She is survived by three daughters, Frances Lantheir of Petaluma, Blanche Riel of Colorado and Jacqueline Kendall of Willits; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Her husband, George, died in June 1986.
Burial will be in Ukiah Cemetery.
