THOMAS MEEK
Thomas J. Meek, 88, of 14 Neame Avenue, San Rafael, a retired correctional officer at San Quentin Prison, died yesterday in a local hospital after a short illness.
A native of Colton, San Bernardino County, he had lived in Marin County for 32 years. He retired after 22 years of service at the prison in 1953. His wife was the late Rose D. Meek.
He was a member of Marin Lodge 191, Free and Accepted Masons; Albert Pike Temple, Scottish Rite Bodies of San Francisco; Marin Pyramid 31, Sciots; Retired Employees Assn. of California, and Chapter 21, California State Employees Assn.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Schneider of San Rafael, a grandson and three great-grandsons.
Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Harry M. Williams Mortuary, San Rafael, under auspices of Marin Lodge 191, F&AM.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds that the grandson is Oliver Thomas Smith of Alamo, California. Great grandchildren: Peter, Bryan and Todd Smith.
