Death of Mrs. Southworth

Mrs. Mary Jane Southworth, wife of Dr. S. S. Southworth, passed away at the residence in this city early this morning, Thursday, Oct. 11, 1900. She had been sick for several months and for some time was quite seriously ill. She was 58 years of age and was a native of Canada, but her parents were both born in Vermont. She had been a resident of San Rafael for five years. She was a cultured and highly esteemed lady, and leaves a husband and three sons to survive her. One of them, Ernest, is married and is a practicing dentist in Sacramento; S. S. is practicing dentistry in San Francisco. The funeral services will be held Friday, and the interment at Mt. Tamalpais cemetery.
