74-Year Old Man Found Hung In San Rafael Lot

Funeral arrangements for Marco Guidetti , 74, who apparently hanged himself Saturday afternoon, were still undetermined at Keaton’s mortuary today, pending location of relatives.

The body was first observed hanging from an oak tree about 2 p.m. at 96 Southern Heights boulevard, San Rafael. Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Bowman made the gruesome discovery when they paid a weekend visit to the home they have under construction there. Guidetti apparently had climbed the tree, tied a rope around a high limb and around his neck and then slid off.

The Bowmans summoned San Rafael police who in turn summoned the county coroner.

Investigation disclosed Guidetti had been allowed to live for several years on the Bowman property. He was despondent over ill health and reportedly attempted suicide once previously by inhaling gas.

Keaton’s has been unable to locate any relatives to date.
