LEE C. JETT
Passed away peacefully November 29, 2001 at the age of 76. Lee was born in Crowder, Oklahoma, raised in Vinita, Oklahoma. He came to Marin at the age of 20 and attended College of Marin. As a young man, he was the assistant manager at the Rafael Theater and manager of the Larkspur Theater. He served in the Army in Japan under the command of General Douglas MacArthur. Lee started a long and successful banking career with Bank of America in 1950. He retired after 40 years of service as vice president in charge of Visa Credit Card. Those who knew Lee will remember his kindness, warm personality and great wit. Lee loved to travel and to have a good time. He loved to entertain and was a great cook and a fabulous host. He is survived by his brother Floyd Jett and sister-in-law Cora of Grove, Oklahoma. A niece and two cousins, Joyce D'Ambra and Arthur Watkins. Lee loved people and was very popular. He will be sadly missed by many, including his dog, Muffin. He will be missed by his friend of over 50 years, Nora Helton and especially by his companion and life partner, Robert Nelson. Lee was a member of the Marin Chapter of Bank of America Retirees and G MOM. A party celebrating Lee's wonderful life will be held at a later date. Donations in his memory may be made to the Diabetes Foundation. At Lee's request, arrangements by the Neptune Society.
