Death Notice:
CELLA - Harold, died in Petaluma, Dec. 1, 1998. Devoted husband of Janet Cella of Petaluma; dear brother of Helen Cella of Petaluma; son-in-law of Bud and Augie Papina of Petaluma; brother-in-law of Vernon and Mary Ann Cheda of Petaluma; uncle of Kirk, LuAnn, Kevin and Lisa Cheda, Michelle and John Yrisarri; great-uncle of Ian Yrisarri, Emily and Carole Lynn Cheda and the late Cody Cheda. Harold is also survived by his dog and longtime companion “Louie” and numerous cousins and friends.

A native of Petaluma, and a life-long resident. Age 69 years.

Friends are invited to meet, Saturday, Dec. 5, 1998, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 35 Liberty St., Petaluma, where at 9:30 a.m. a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Friends may call for visitation at the ADOBE CREEK FUNERAL HOME, 331 Lakeville St., Petaluma, on Thursday, Dec. 3, 1998 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and again on Friday, Dec. 4, 1998, form 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Carousel Fund, 17 Buckeye Ct., Petaluma, CA 94952. Interment, Cypress Hill Memorial Park, Petaluma, CA.

HAROLD E. CELLA

Harold E. Cella worked for the First National Crocker Bank for 30 years. He was manager of the Mill Valley and San Anselmo branches and retired as vice president/manager. The Petaluma resident died Dec. 1 after a short illness. He was 69.

He was born and raised in Petaluma and a member of one of the first graduating classes from St. Vincent’s High School where he was on the first football team. After his retirement from banking, he drove an express route for Golden Gate Transit. He enjoyed cooking, hunting, fishing and traveling. Mr. Cella was a member of the I.C.F. Larkspur Branch #161 and was a past member of the Rotary of Marin and the Petaluma Lions Club.

He is survived by his wife, Janet Cella of Petaluma; and sister, Helen Cella of Petaluma. Friends are invited to meet tomorrow at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 35 Liberty St., Petaluma, where a 9:30 a.m. Mass will be celebrated. Friends may call for visitation today at the Adobe Creek Funeral Home, 331 Lakeville St., Petaluma, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Carousel Fund, 17 Buckeye Ct., Petaluma, 94952.
