Mrs. Mary Benson, Aged Matron, Dies
Following an illness of seven weeks, death claimed Mrs. Mary Benson, 85, resident of San Rafael for over 50 years, at her home in San Rafael Wednesday.
She was the widow of the late Martin Benson, who died 17 years ago. She was also the aunt of Mrs. Katherine Valley of San Rafael, and the late Mrs. Charles Jones. Mrs. Benson was a native of Ireland.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 2, at 8:45 a.m. from the mortuary of Keaton and Dusel, thence to St. Raphael’s Church, were mass will be said. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
