Mrs. James West Dies
Funeral services will be held Monday for Mrs. Maile V. West of 139 Valley View avenue, San Rafael, who died last night at a local hospital after a long illness.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal church, San Rafael. Burial will be at Mt. Tamalpais cemetery.
Mrs. West was the wife of James West, a member of a pioneer Marin family. In addition to her husband, she leaves three sons, James West Jr., George V. West, and Herbert A. West; her father, Georg H. Vicars of Red Bluff, two brothers, George H. Vicars Jr., Honolulu, and Herbert A. Vicars of Red Bluff, and a grandson, John Lloyd West.
She was also the mother of the late John L. West. She was also the daughter of the late Laura Vicars. A native of Hawaii, she was 53 years old and had lived in Marin 28 years.
