RALPH MARSH
Funeral for Ralph E. Marsh, father of Mrs. Ruth Perron of Novato, was held today in Santa Rosa, with burial in the Santa Rosa Memorial Park.
Marsh died Friday in Santa Rosa. He was 79.
He was a native of Iowa who moved to Montana when he was two years old, and was reared on a ranch.
Marsh and his wife, Mae, moved in 1949 from Montana to Santa Rosa, where they owned and operated a neighborhood grocery store.
The couple celebrated its 50th wedding anniversary in 1968. Marsh, who retired in 1964, was a veteran of World War I.
Besides his wife, Marsh is survived by two other daughters, Eileen Madsen of Carmel and Della Pitta of Fresno; three sisters, Trevea Ovens and Bertha Peers, both of Shelby, Mont., and Gertrude Chisholm, St. Paul, Minn.; eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
