WALTER COCKCROFT IV
Carpenter
Walter Ernest “Skip” Cockcroft IV of Mill Valley died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 1990, in Fresno of a sudden hemorrhage caused by Marfan’s Syndrome. He was 44.
Mr. Cockcroft was born in Watsonville and moved to Marin when he was 13. He graudated in the first graduating class of Terra Linda High School in 1964.
He attended Marin Community College for a few years and was employed as a carpenter for many years.
He enjoyed playing guitar and harmonica, and associating with people in the music industry.
Mr. Cockcroft is survived by his son, Walter Ernest Cockcroft V of Durango, Colo.; his mother, Dorothy Dye Cockcroft Gibson of Thousand Oaks, Ventura County; a brother, J. Gregory Cockcroft of Fairfax, and a grandmother, Ruth M. Dye of Watsonville.
A graveside service was held in Fresno.
A memorial gathering is being planned. For information call the family at 453-2312.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Marin Housing Center or a favorite charity.
Arrangements were by Yost and Webb Mortuary in Fresno.
