John Marshall Hancock
A native of New York, New York, age 83 years. John passed away at his home in Forest Knolls on October 12, 2001. John was the devoted husband of my late mother, Clifford A. Hancock. John was the beloved stepfather of: Durel (Pat) Damos and family of San Anselmo; Keth (Joe) Patton of Columbia, California; Kelly Slattery and family of Forest Knolls; James Slattery and family of Forest Knolls; and Antoinette (Toni) Reynolds and family of Cotati. John was also the step-grandfather to Brent Barnes, Tracy Barnes, Maria Kinney and Ryan Reynolds. John Hancock's father was Marshall Hamilton Hancock of Chicago. His mother was Elizabeth Page Hancock of New York, NY. John had a late brother, Page Hancock, of London, England. John was the patriarch of a family and extended family too numerous to list here. I apologize for any omissions. He was a typographer, having retired many years ago. He retired from Omnicomp in San Francisco. Prior to that he had worked for the Marin I.J. After retirement, he and my mother travelled extensively. He also enjoyed playing bridge at the Goldennaires in San Rafael. Friends and family are invited to attend the Funeral Liturgy on Saturday, November 3, 2001 at St. Cecilia Church in Lagunitas, California. The Ceremony will begin at 1:00 p.m. Reception after. Contributions may be made to Whistlestop Wheels or the Goldennaires in San Rafael. Monte's Chapel of the Hills Family Owned and Operated San Anselmo - 415-453-8440
