Death of Miss Anna M. Smith

The death last Wednesday of Miss ANNIE M. SMITH, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Smith of this city, was not unexpected, yet it brought sorrow to the hearts of many friends. She had been ill for several years with that dread disease, consumption, and at last succumbed to its power. She was a native of San Rafael, aged 25 years and 2 months, and was an estimable young lady. Friends and acquaintances of the family attended the funeral Saturday from the home of her parents and thence to St. Raphael's Church, where a solemn requiem mass was celebrated for the repose of her soul. The body was interred in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
